Slow Rust Cabinet - COMPLETED

In order to provide refinishing services we have built a slow rust cabinet from old time specifications.  Bluing is the process of creating a chemical reaction with the surface metal causing rust to form.  The surface is buffed to remove the surface rust resulting in a dark blue or black finish.

the process is repeated until the desired finish is achieved.

Mauser Slow-Rust Bluing Project - Completed

Good example of how refinishing an antique weapon can improve the look.  This post-war Columbian Mauser was completely stripped and slow rust blued.  Receiver, trigger group, bolt, sights, barrel band, and barrel were all refinished.  Next up would be stock refinishing.
